The Final Countdown...

Dear all,

Here's my final post of the year (or maybe forever)...

2009 has been an exciting yet challenging year for me for the fact that I have already stepped into the corporate working world and 'earned' myself more commitments, independence, motivation and discipline... Well, I've learned and gained a lot of experiences and also see a lot of improvement in me as I slowly mature with time...

Thank you to all - my friends and family - who has been around me, closely involved with my life, who is forever supporting me, giving me great guidance and insights to succeed in life and great leadership to keep me going on the right path...

Thank you to my readers too for supporting my blog...

As I countdown to the year of 2010, I hope it brings you and I more blessings and happy challenges, greater luck and opportunities...

Here are my two final photos for my final post...

May you all have a Happy New Year and a great new year ahead with greater opportunities and improvement in life.

Dearest and I

Ms. Tsu Yi

Thank You.

Christmas Day!!

I celebrated my Christmas Day with my darling...

Since darling had to work the whole day and night on Christmas Eve (he worked for 32 hours in total), so we met up much later in the day...just in time for tea time...lol!

We headed to Chocolate Lounge, the Curve for 'tea time'... =P

i was attracted to the ceiling lamp... =P
beautiful, ain't it? =P

our chocolate drinks...

Snow White Frappe
(Belgian White Chocolate Frappe)
-RM12.90-
Comments: A pretty sweet chocolate drink but it was smooth...

Fair Lady Frappe
(Belgian Milk Chocolate Frappe)
-RM12.90-
Comments: Less sweet as compared to the Snow White Frappe and a more 'chocolatey' taste... =P

Chocolate Affair
(Chocolate Fondue with 4 Seasonal Fruits for 2 Persons)
-RM25.90-
Comments: Love it! It's Chocolate Fondue! How can anyone say no to that?? =P
was taken aback at the fact that they stop serving marshmallows with chocolate fondue though cause apparently it was not 'halal'; in other words, 'illegal to the muslims'.

Belgian Waffle With Ice-Cream
-RM16.90-
Comments: This desert was pretty normal and not that nice as the waffle was a little dried up and hard... =P

a photo of darling in blue...

and me in blue dress too!

We were both in the mood to dress up in blue colour -Blue Christmas - ....what a coincidence as we did not plan our dress code for that day...hehehe... =P

After tea, we headed to the supermarket to do some last minute grocery shopping for my house's Christmas Potluck Lunch the following day...

Then, we were supposed to be having a great Christmas dinner together but it did not happen as the both of us were feeling unwell and tired...i guess my darling overworked the day and night before well as for me, i was still recovering from my sickness and my 'best friend' had to come on Christmas day! hehehe...

Well, the good part is, we got to spend time together and exchange our Christmas gifts! =P

I really love all my Christmas presents this year... =D

That's all for my Christmas Day!

xoxo

###

On Christmas Eve

on Christmas Eve, i had a great celebration with the Rhythm Identity family...

my celebration started with a good seafood dinner @ King Crab, Kelana Jaya...

Only Dr. Simon, Le Ann, Miki and I could make it for the dinner together and below were what we ordered just for the four of us...

clams..

spicy and sour crabs

fried egg-plant

butter cream crabs

and not forgetting a plate of pan-fried green vegetables
(sorry no photo taken as my hands were already busy with the crabs then... =P)

it was Dr. Simon's treat. Thank you Simon. =)

After dinner,
we all headed to Bernards, Centre Point.

there was a live performance

in conjunction to Christmas i think...

Well, they had a pretty Christmas tree at the entrance

and they even gave out party packs to all of us there!

So here are some photos of us....

Me and Miki

Le Ann and Simon

the four of us who had dinner together...

we played a few rounds of "chor tai tee" while waiting for the rest to join us..

Soon came Cecilia, Jaxen and their friend Jason (if i'm not mistaken..=P)
then came Evelyn, WeeSam, Mazmi and Bill...
did i miss out anyone's name?? i hope not... =P

here are some photos of us...
with our masks on...

and Christmas hats on too...

a nice photo of Cecilia, Jaxen, Miki and I..
it's blur though...hehehe...

a toast to wish everyone Merry Christmas...!

Jaxen treated us for the drinks.
Thank you Salsa Daddy! =P

well, we definitely had a lot of fun dancing and singing to the songs that we're performed that night...
the best part was, everyone else at the pub was quietly having their drink and chit-chatting while our table was the only table which was making a lot of noise! lol!
we're happening man...! haha! and we had fun.. =)

After the countdown and performance ended,
we were given 30 minutes "grace period" to dance to salsa, bachata and zouk songs till the pub closes.. =P

After that, we headed to McDonalds for nice cup/cone of ice-cream each...

it was a great Christmas eve celebration with RI Family =)

Merry Christmas again everyone! =)

###

Eve of Christmas Eve

My Christmas celebration began on the eve of Christmas Eve...

and it started with a lunch outing with Dionne and Andy at

Daorae Korean BBQ Restauran @ Hartamas

(well it was a waste that Ven Bee, Valerie and Cassie couldn't join us... =P Anywayz...)

it seemed like one of the most popular Korean BBQ Restaurant to be at
well, the place is indeed nice to dine in...
very cultural and traditional... =P

and this is our table...

and the following are the food that we had that day...

here's an upclose of those mini dishes...

our set meals...

and some photos of us! =P

after lunch, we exchanged Christmas gifts and had a few more photos taken at the restaurant...

so homely right?? lol!

~~~
at night, on the same day...
it was dinner with the 'mamak gang'
which includes me, Dean, Lisa and Adele...
(Divya couldn't join us as she was not around...a waste again...lol!!)
so we had our dinner at
Restaurant Food & Tea (Hong Kong cuisine) @ Tropicana City..
our drinks...
the appetizers..
our main meals..
and our deserts..
some photos of us..
Dean and Lisa
Adele and I
after dinner, we all exchanged our Christmas gifts...
here we are posing with our Christmas gifts... =P
Adele
Dean
Me
Lisa
after dinner, the four of us headed on to GSC to watch a movie - Bodyguards and Assassins
it was a pretty good movie which was done based on China's history... =)
then finally,
a photo of the four of us
at the entrance of Tropicana City.
and that was my first Christmas celebration on the eve of Christmas Eve...
yes, there were lots of food involve...and you are soon to see more...loL!
oh well, since i fell sick for a week (before Christmas) and had lost some weight then, Christmas was the best time to regain back those weight! hehehe!
Adios!
Christmas Themes @ Malls
Christmas just ended a few days ago so here I am, blogging about Christmas!!
This post will only be about the Christmas themes and decorations in few of the shopping malls that I have been to this Christmas.
(This post is also specially for my dear friend Wayne, from US who doesn't believe that Malaysia can have Christmas trees. hahaha!! -just a joke- =P)
here are few of the Christmas gifts I've prepared for my friends..
of course there were more...
i think i spent almost RM1000 just for Christmas. lol!!
so the first mall in line is
Tropicana City, PJ
a very simple yet presentable stage and deco for a small mall...
next, KLCC (Petronas Twin Tower), KL
the theme was Candy Wonderland
which is actually not a new idea...i've seen it before in the previous years... =P
the front view...
the side view
the ginger bread 'couple' and the Christmas tree... =P
i like the ginger bread 'couples'...they swing left and right...haha!
top view
and more decorations hanging from the top...
next, Mid Valley, KL...
i forgot the word that can be used to describe this theme... =P
it's very much like, the wizard or harry porter or something like that...lol
another picture of it...
this year's Mid Valley's deco isn't as nice as compared to previous years...in fact, Mid Valley's deco which used to be the best among all the malls in KL and PJ is now getting worst year by year... =P
next, The Curve, PJ
from the top
another top view
the curve has this very 'Romanian-ish' theme
i like it...it was beautiful... =)
the dome..the centre of attraction...
the promotional booths beneath the christmas trees...how cute... =P
i like the angels which are hanging from the top...
i wonder how much they spent for the deco... =P
not forgetting the outdoor area, just at the entrance of e-curve
hmm...not as fascinating as compared to last year though...=P
last but not least...
One Utama, PJ
which in my opinion has one of the best deco among all... =P
the front view
the side stairs
the top view
and that is it for the this post...
coming up next:
more of my christmas celebration... =D
37th Month Anniversary @ Ole Ole Bali
2 days ago was my 37th Monthly Anniversary with darling..
(time really flies...i thought i was just blogging about our 3rd year anniversary and now, our 3rd year and 1st month anniversary...
plus on a side note, i'm actually pretty updated with this post! heheheh =P)
So darling picked me up at night after work and took me on a dinner date at
Ole Ole Bali, Mont' Kiara
it was a really nice place to dine in
they have outdoor
and indoor area..
we chose to sit indoor
love the 'traditional chandelier' (i would call it =P)
you can actually see the chefs cook...
the sink to wash your hands..
and darling treated this as a candle light dinner
simple because of the candle they had as a table deco. lol!
so this is the menu
and we ordered..
SunShine Beer (for darling)
-RM13.00-
Review: It is a mixture of orange juice and beer and for a person who doesn't likes beer, it actually tasted good. Well, the taste of the beer isn't as strong..maybe that's why... =P
Lemongrass Mojito (for myself)
-RM11.00-
Review: Mojito is like my all time favourite drink and lemongrass comes second. What a great combination! Nonetheless, I could hardly taste the lemongrass in the drink... =P
Grilled Vegetables Pasta
-RM13.00-
Review: It's not bad, really. And it was a really big portion (that even darling couldn't finish it) so I would say that it's really worth the price!
Lamb Chop
-RM28.00-
Review: Yum Yum!! I really enjoyed this meal! Again, it was a big portion which came together with fries, a bowl of fresh salad, and a slice of watermelon (and surprisingly, i finished my meal except for the fries...=P). I also liked the fact that they separated the black pepper sauce. This is totally worth it!
Vegetarian Ciabatta
-RM13.00-
Review: Darling didn't expect the meal to be this much! So we didn't really get to taste it while it was hot but we packed it and had it for breakfast the next day and it tasted not bad too. =P It also came together with a bowl of fries and coleslaw. Very reasonable price for that huge portion!
and that was all we had for dinner...
after dinner, we spent a night at Ritz Garden Hotel for only RM120.00/night.
It isn't any 5 star hotel but the room is well equip with everything that we would need. Not forgetting new clean sheets and towels as well as a clean and clear bathroom! RM120 is definitely worth it!
and that was how we spent our 37th Month Anniversary
[If you're thinking of what I'm guessing that you'll be thinking, well, of course not!]
Adios!
Farewell Ven Bee
So my dear friend Ven Bee has now gone to US and then to Florida to work...
so for that...
end of last month,
Ven Bee and I went out to Tesco and The Curve for a last minute shopping for Ven Bee
(Dionne was supposed to join us but she had a last minute emergency...oh well)
this is the girl shopping for unhealthy food @ Tesco.
hahahaha!
well, she's gonna be away for about 5 - 6 months so i guess that's excusable.. =P
we also did a little bit of shopping @ The Curve
where we each ended up getting something from MNG
it was just a simple shopping outing specially for the girl..i dropped her home after dinner...
~~~

A few days later, we had another outing. This time, with Dionne.

So we decided to meet at One Utama for dinner.

Before we all met up, I took a walk at the rainforest and so happen to pass by Studio V

where they were conducting an interview with the main casts of The Storm Warriors

Ee Kin Cheng and Aaron Kwok

i'm not really a big fan of the both of them but am still glad to be able to snap some shots of them. hehehe... =P

so back to our dinner @ Delicious, One Utama...

I had Fried Eggplant and Tomato Spaghetti
(I liked it =))

This was Dionne's meal...i forgot what the name was... =P

while Ven Bee had Classic Beef Lasagna..
(how did I know? I referred to Ven Bee's blog. lol! =P)

here's the two of them with their food

and me..

after dinner, we left to Yippie Cup, SS2 for dessert...

and that's our dessert...lol!!
Chocolate Milk Tea Pearl Drink, Yam Pearl Drink, Original Milk Tea

with chit-chatted till pass 12:00 a.m. ....

our final photo of the three of us....

Arthur organized a potluck barbeque at his house...
that's what he's always good at... =P

I'm not gonna say much but lets just let the photos do the blogging.. =P

the food

the people

and more people

and more people... lol!

well, after a looooong time, i'm seeing these people again...some even after 1 year! no kidding. i really miss the company and wished that i could have stayed longer at the party if it was not for my job. argh! oh well, let's see the people who were there...

Nicholas and I
Didn't expect to be hanging out with this dude la. loL! =P

I had a great time... =)

Wei Yi turns Four!

Wei Yi turns Four on Nov 13th, 2009.

(I remember that was the date of my first SPM paper. lol!)

So, the usual, we had a very simple cake cutting session for little Wei Yi.

the Black Forest cake from Cake Sense

the kids
Wei Yi, Hoe Wen (Wei Yi's brother) and Hui Sim (baby-sit)

more photos of the kids...

Wei Yi couldn't wait to taste the cake...
She actually started licking the knife right after she cut the cake. LOL! =P

Present time!!
Little girl got a new set of Barbie Doll to play with from her parents..

While we, the aunts (my sisters and I) got her a Dolly Daisy handbag and some accessories
(her favourite fashion items. lol!)

She once had an obsession for shoes at the age of 2 - 3. Can you believe that?! =P

so here's the pretty girl modeling her presents =P

Halloween @ Dionne's

Halloween was about 2 months ago and I only managed to post about it today. lol!
oh well, what's new with me and my out-dated post?

Anyways,

my friends and i didn't really have a Halloween Party...it was simply just a by the way thing..

since Dionne's parents were away, she decided to invite the few of us to her house for steamboat and since it so happens to be Halloween Day, Ven Bee decided that we should dress up a little. =P

our food...
Thanks Valerie for the soup. It was really good =)
she can be a really good housewife. hahaha! =P

our dessert...
Thanks Ven Bee for buying them =)

and our "character for the night"

Andy
"School Boy Nerd who eventually has an imaginary friend"

Dionne
"Zombie Girl Guide"

Daphnie
"Zombie Girl"

me
"Two-faced"

Valerie
"The Crazy Maid"

missing photo:
Ven Bee
(girl, you didn't let me snap a photo of you and your eagle wings. lol!)

here's to the "Andy's Family" instead of the Adam's Family. hahaha!

a photo of the family preparing for dinner =P

and the girls after the dinner... =P

Happy belated Halloween! =P

3rd Year Anniversary

Time really flies...
With the blink of an eye, boyfriend and I are already 3 years in our relationship!
amazingly..hahahaha!

so to celebrate the 3 years of tolerance towards one another (hahaha!),
we spent a weekend together in PJ and we celebrated the occasion earlier on the 31st Oct as boyfriend will not be around on the 11th Nov (our actual date).

my outfit for the day

his outfit for the day

our first agenda was to

watch Michael Jackson's This Is It movie!
@ GSC, One Utama

we're both fans of MJ =)

the movie was good. although it was just clips of MJ's This Is It rehearsal, but I really enjoy watching the great talent whom shall never be forgotten. =)

after the movie,

we had a short walk around the concourse area

which had spooky set ups in conjunction to Halloween

I like the set-ups =)

here's a photo of me with the "scary" "pumpkin" head

and a picture of him

and another of him =P

i managed to snap a photo of this girl with a hoody suit which depicts a knife being stabbed through her head. how cool is that. lol!

next, we had our dinner at

Gardens Restaurant, One Utama

this is the menu

it was our first time dining there and we chose the place because we thought that it had a very nice, lovely and relaxing setting...

i just love the "green" factor. =P

and our menu for the night was...

Green Apple Soda
-RM11.90-
Review: Not bad. Tasted like any other sodas. Frizzy and refreshing =)

Chocolate Ice Blended
-RM11.90-
Review: It's okay only. I've tasted better. =P

The Cream
Review: Not nice! =P

Garden Salad
-RM forgotten-
Review: It's okay only. Tasted just like any other garden salad but it's a little plain though. I think I can make better salads at home =S

Spaghetti Pomodoro
-RM17.90-
Review: Bad! Too little sauce and the sauce didn't taste good as well! =X

Spaghetti Marinara
-RM17.90-
Review: Bad!! Same comment as above! Only part i liked about this dish was the seafood simply because i love seafood. Even so, the seafood weren't very fresh. =X

Basically, we did not enjoy our dinner at all.
Oh well, we still have each other's company so it's better than nothing..
(i'm not trying to sound 'corny' but yeah, my boyfriend and i hardly get to meet each other and spend time together despite how close we live so we really need to treasure every second we have together. =P)

next,

we headed to Dessert's Bar @ Colmar Tropicana

it was also our first time there

the place is pretty nice and cozy

the have a bar counter

as well as nice comfy cushions

they also provide games
i guess this is really a hang out place
hehe.

so this is the menu

and my dear and i ordered

Oreo Cheese Parfait
-RM7.00-
Review: Not bad. A little too creamy+cheesy though. Well, i guess it's perfect for cream cheese lovers =P

love the presentation too =)

Brownie with Ice-Cream
-RM8.00-
Review: Yum Yum!! Both the ice-cream and brownie was good!

the mouth watering presentation =P

so at least our dessert was good =P

as for drinks, we simply had mineral water which cost RM2.00 per bottle.

i saw this little deco on our table and i was so tempted to steal it! lol!
(trust me, i really did almost steal it.... =P)

so my darling and i spent quite some time hanging around there....just the two of us...chit chatting...playing monopoly cards...and camwhoring...

our camwhore photos...

this is one funny picture of him
it's as if he suddenly has got an idea! *think!* hehehe. =P

more camwhore photos... =P

and this was our last photo together for the night..

~~~
the next day,
darling and i woke up just in time for lunch...lol! =P
we were feeling tired and too lazy to dress up so we decided to have something simple. besides, we had to get back to our own work after lunch (yeah, on a Sunday....) ....
so we had our lunch at
Food Foundry, Section 17
love the simple and cute settings =)
the wall painting especially... =P
*tweet tweet*
this is their menu
how cost-savy...lol!
'table set-up'
our drinks: Ice Lemon Tea
-RM3.00-
Review: Good. Just like any nice Ice Lemon Tea =)
Mushroom Soup
-RM8.00-
Review: It's just okay to me. A little too watery though (like most Chinese Soup) and not creamy enough. Perhaps, it was not meant to be creamy... =P
Vegetarian Pizza
-RM15.00-
Review: It's not bad. Hot & Crispy at the bottom while Soft & Tasty on top =) Well don't expect it to be superb but at least it tasted so much better than the pasta we had at Gardens the night before.. Even the presentation is so much more appetizing! =P
Food Foundry Chicken Chop
-RM15.00-
Review: The Chicken Chop was nice. I actually finished my entire meal including the vegetables! lol! The black pepper sauce was good too! This is really so so much better than Garden's pasta =D
the Black Pepper Sauce
Review: Yum Yum!
a photo of him
and me
and the final photo for the day before we depart..
yeah, it's a photo of the venue, not us. lol!
just don't want to scare you with our pale and tired looking faces. hehe.
hope you enjoy this post and found it informational too.
i was a little upset at the fact that darling and i didn't get to travel this time for our anniversary (as we have been doing for our past 2 anniversaries). oh well, what can do?... =P
i just hope for more happiness in us while darling and I are still together.
Happy 3rd Year Anniversary, dear.
Sincerely, thank you for everything... =)
it's seafood tom yam soup
